1. Who We Are
High Delta Research ("High Delta", "we", "us", "our") operates the website at highdelta.io and the associated waitlist and platform services. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
To contact us about your data: legal@highdelta.io
2. What Data We Collect
Waitlist sign-ups
When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address. That is the only personal data we collect at this stage.
Website usage
Our web server may log standard technical data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used solely for security and operational monitoring and is not used to identify you personally.
What we do not collect
We do not use third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics), advertising trackers, or marketing pixels on this website. We do not collect payment information, trading account details, or any sensitive personal data at this stage.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your email address to:
- Notify you when the High Delta Platform or High Delta Research product launches
- Send occasional product updates (approximately two emails per month, as stated at sign-up)
- Respond to any enquiries you send us
We will never use your email address for unrelated marketing or share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
We process your email address on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR), given when you submit the waitlist form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or by emailing us at legal@highdelta.io. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. Data Retention
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our waitlist communications. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.
Server access logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days for security purposes.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Service providers: Hosting and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it
- Legal requirements: Where we are required to disclose information by law or by a competent authority
Any future use of email service providers (e.g. for managing newsletter delivery) will be disclosed in an updated version of this policy before such services are introduced.
7. Cookies
This website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. We may set strictly necessary cookies for security and session purposes. No cookie consent banner is displayed because no non-essential cookies are set.
If we introduce any non-essential cookies in future, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism introduced before they are placed.
8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@highdelta.io. We will respond within one calendar month.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Waitlist data is stored securely on our servers. We do not store payment card details or passwords.
10. International Transfers
Our servers are located within the UK or EEA. If we use any services that process data outside the UK or EEA, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to waitlist subscribers by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's data protection authority:
Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
Website: ico.org.uk
Phone: 0303 123 1113
We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly before you contact the ICO — please email us first at legal@highdelta.io.
